5x10 Storage Unit (about 50 sq ft)
A 5x10 is about the size of a walk-in closet, and it's one of the most popular choices for apartment dwellers. It typically holds the contents of a studio or one-bedroom: a mattress set, a small sofa or loveseat, a dresser, a bike, and a few boxes, with a narrow walkway to reach the back.

10x10 Storage Unit (about 100 sq ft)
The 10x10 is the workhorse of self storage, about the size of an average bedroom. It fits the furnishings of a one- to two-bedroom home: a couch, a queen or full mattress set, a dining table and chairs, a dresser, a couple of appliances, and a stack of boxes. Pack it with a little planning and you'll still be able to step inside and find what you came for.
Good for: a bedroom-and-living-room move, a renovation where furniture needs to be out of the way for a while, or a small business holding inventory and equipment between jobs.
10x15 Storage Unit (about 150 sq ft)
A 10x15 covers the gap when a 10x10 fills up faster than expected. It holds the contents of a two-bedroom home with room to spare for a washer and dryer, a large entertainment center, an extra mattress set, and bulkier pieces like an upright piano or a couple of major appliances.
Good for: families in the middle of a move, longer-term storage of a furnished home, or keeping larger recreational gear, tools, and seasonal equipment together in one spot.
10x20 Storage Unit (about 200 sq ft)
Roughly the size of a standard one-car garage, the 10x20 takes the furnishings of a three-bedroom house: multiple bedroom sets, a large sectional, major appliances, a dining set, and plenty of boxes, with space left to walk around.

The largest in our lineup, a 10x30 runs about the length of a one-and-a-half to two-car garage. It handles a large, fully furnished home plus the extras: several rooms of furniture, appliances, lawn and garden equipment, and a deep stack of boxes, with enough room to keep an aisle clear so nothing gets buried.
Good for: big households between homes, major life transitions, or a business that needs substantial drive-up space it can reach on its own schedule.
How to Choose Your Size
A few simple habits make the decision easier when you're sizing up a unit:
Round up, not down. Discovering that the last few boxes won't fit is a frustrating end to moving day. When you're caught between two sizes, the larger one usually saves a second trip.
Leave a walkway. An aisle down the middle lets you reach items in the back without dragging everything in front of them out first.
Plan for access. Every Buckeye State Self Storage unit is drive-up, so heavy or awkward pieces go straight from your vehicle to the unit.
Match the location to what you're storing. Our Wilmington storage units on Cuba Road are gated and fenced, and it's our only location with RV, boat, and vehicle parking.
